Adrian’s Hub (AHub) Guide

Note from Adrian: There have been numerous changes and add-ons to Adrian’s Hub since this guide was first written. Some were integrated in the guide, but overall, it needs some rewriting.

What Is and What Isn’t Adrian’s Hub (AHub)?

Adrian’s Hub is a source of information, a small but growing platform for advertising and a place where you earn rewards (including cash) for completing various actions.

AHub should be especially helpful for branding, spotlighting and new marketers who don’t know the basics yet in different areas of internet marketing and want to learn. Or if you lack the resources to move up to a higher level, but take action and stay committed.

AHub is not a classical membership site. For starters, you’ll have to subscribe to our newsletter to have access to our contests, events and special offers, but also to your own Private Hub. Then, you can choose from your profile if you’d like to stay subscribed to the newsletter (highly recommended) or the amount of admin notifications to receive.

AdriansHub.com is built on a blog platform, but all the components that make up our site will receive equal attention and a share of development time.

On our site, we highly value your choices and recommend you to take them in order to maximize the benefits on your desired path. Your choices can and will make a difference!

AHub also doesn’t encourage earning or winning for inactivity! There’s a reason why successful advertising businesses require or reward your involvement. Even if it’s just 5-10 minutes of your time.

How to Earn on AHub?

You will be rewarded for your actions on Adrian’s Hub. Reward points include contest points and tokens. Besides them, you will earn VIP points. Let’s take them one by one.

Reward Points (RP). Contest Points (CP). Tokens.

When you claim a reward for one of your actions with us, you receive a number of reward points (RP). Based on how you have chosen to balance your reward, RP may include CP only, tokens only or a combination of them.

Contest points help you climb in the main contest. Tokens help you buy advertising, unlock various options and even exchange them for cash (see VIP Rewards for that).

Balancing Your Reward Points

As mentioned above, you can choose how to balance your reward between contest points and tokens. But that comes with a price. If you choose more tokens or tokens only as your reward, you might not be very high ranked in the main contest. If you choose more contest points or contest points only you’ll have less tokens to play with. Your decision entirely! You can change the way you balance your reward with each claim, so pay attention to your contest position and your available tokens and make your decision!

Private Hub(s)

The first thing to know about the Private Hub(s) is that they are… private. Which makes them unavailable publicly. If you are a subscriber, you will set a password for your own Private Hub, which, along with your subscriber’s email will grant you access inside your Private Hub. You can join us from here, if you’re not a subscriber.

Private Hub includes many additional opportunities to be rewarded not available for visitors, as well as your personal stats, advertising and personal details. One more reason for you to activate your Private Hub, if you are already a subscriber.

VIP Rewards

Besides reward points, some actions will give you VIP points. There are currently 16 VIP levels, with each one becoming more difficult to level up. But also more rewarding!

For example, at VIP 5, you’ll unlock the cash for tokens exchange. At higher levels you’ll be offered a better exchange rate.

VIP 16 has a $100 cash prize, sent to your Paypal account. Don’t expect to be easy to get there, because it isn’t!

VIP rewards include bonuses, leverages and cash and are only available inside your Private Hub.

They are opened to every member, free or buyer. Members who regularly make purchases will however climb the VIP ladder easier.

Your Purchase Balance

You can use your purchase balance (Purchase -> Your Purchase Balance menu) at Adrian’s Hub for your purchases (PTD offers for now, see next section).
You can add funds from Paypal (and maybe other e-payment processors in the future) to your purchase balance.
You can transfer your pending commissions to your purchase funds (or back to pending commissions).

Paid-to-Do (PTD) Offers

You can use our PTD offers add-on to either complete existing offers and earn cash or tokens, or create your own offer to boost results in the area you are interested in (more activity, sign ups, followers, likes, comments, sales, etc.).

You should also read this blog post first.

Explaining all options of PTD Zone

The PTD Zone is where you go to see existing PTD offers and complete them for cash or tokens.

It looks like this:
PTD Zone

Let’s take them one by one:

  • PTD Type
There are three types of PTD offers on Adrian’s Hub:
premium: on a pink background, listed first, reward is at least $3 cash to your purchase balance
pro: on a light yellow background, listed second, reward is $1-$2 cash to your purchase balance or 100-200 tokens to your account at Adrian’s Hub
regular: no background, listed third, reward is 10-25 tokens to your account
  • Added By
The PTD advertiser. You can contact him or her if you have questions or complains. Some advertisers may choose not to offer any means of communication.
  • Title
A short title for the PTD offer. Click on it and you’ll go to the full details. Hover over the title text and you’ll see the average rating given by members who already completed that offer and how many votes there are.
  • Reward For Completion
That’s what you receive if you complete the offer and your claim is approved.
  • Remaining
That’s the availability of the offer. How many rewards are still offered. If “unspecified”, the offer will not be shown again if the advertiser runs out of cash or tokens to pay for additional completed PTDs.
  • How Often?
How often can you complete this PTD? Can be daily, weekly, monthly, or once.

‘Your Claims’ page (get there when you click the ‘View All Your Claims’ button):

  • Rate this PTD
You can select a rating between 1 and 5 (1 means worst, 5 is best). If your claim was approved you can’t select a rating below 3. You earn 1 contest point by rating a PTD.
  • Time Claim
Time of your claim, in Eastern Standard Time.
  • Your proof
The proof of completion you provided. It is auto-generated for PTDs that have the automated claims management enabled.
  • Status
Will be ‘pending’ until ‘approved’ or ‘rejected’ by the advertiser. Or auto-approved, depending on the adevertiser’s choices.

‘PTD Details’ page (get there when you click the title of a PTD offer):

  • Requirement(s)
The description of what you need to do in order to earn the reward for completing the PTD. Other mentions the advertiser wants to make clear.
  • Proof of Completion Needed
Advertiser will need a proof of completion to see that you actually have done what you were supposed to. You’ll see here what information he or she expects to approve your claim (can be a username for instance).
  • PTD Link
Link toward the site where you need to take action. Must be related to the offer described above.
  • Proof of Completion
This is where you enter the proof of completion requested above. This field is missing for PTD offers that are automatically approved. The advertiser must make it clear in the requirements/description how the reward can be claimed.
  • ‘Submit Proof’ button
Also only visible if the advertiser manually handles claims for his PTD.
  • ‘Dont Show Me This PTD Again’ button
If you’re not interested in an offer or you can’t complete it for various reason you should click this button. A one-question anonymous survey will be presented to you. After you select the answer and click Submit, this PTD won’t be shown to you again. You will earn 1 contest point for providing feedback to the advertiser about his PTD this way.
  • ‘Report this PTD’ button
Use this option if the PTD is abusive in any way, otherwise choose the above option. You’ll be asked to provide a short reason why you have reported the PTD, before submitting the report.

Top PTD Completers contests

Top PTD Completers have a reason to be happy. There are weekly and monthly contests to reward them.
Top 5 PTD completers of each week get a reward and top 10 PTD completers of each month.
There are cash and contest points for the main contest to be won. You should also check your preferences to make sure you have your preferred option recorded for the prizes of these contests (where there are multiple choices).

Check more details, rules up to date, prizes and leaderboards from your Private Hub, in the Grow & Earn -> Top PTD Completers menu.

Requesting a new PTD offer

Are you looking for a specific PTD, but you can’t find one in the existing offers? You can request a PTD to your liking. Be specific and give enough time for interested persons to take action. It is generally useful if other members may be interested to complete such a PTD, if an advertiser chooses to create it.

PTD requests can be voted by members, just like PTD offers.

To add a request or consult existing ones, go to Grow & Earn -> PTD Requests menu.

Explaining all options of PTD Control Panel

The PTD Control Panel is where you go to create your own PTD or manage existing claims for your offers.

It looks like this:
PTD Control Panel

Purchasing your first PTD

On the green background you’ll see the form you need to fill in to purchase a new (your first) PTD.

You will see there are some constrains concerning your available cash in the purchase balance or tokens in your account to be able to make the purchase.

First thing you can select is the type of your PTD. Check first the characteristics of each type of PTD and the permitted reward type and reward amount ranges.

You can leave availability empty, unless you intend to create scarcity by offering a certain amount of rewards.

It is important to set an appropriate claim frequency for your PTD (“How Often Can Your PTD Be Completed by the Same Person?”). This value can be updated after you create your PTD, unlike your PTD type, as well as reward type and amount.

You shouldn’t select a different value than ‘once’ if you want referrals in a program, for instance. You should select “daily” if you want to reward logins to your site. You should probably select “monthly” if you want to offer your downline recurring rewards for staying subscribed in a paid program.

Select ‘auto-extend’ if you want Adrian’s Hub to attempt to automatically extend your PTD when it expires. If there are insufficient funds in your purchase balance, auto-extend will fail and you’ll have to extend manually when you have the necessary funds.

You should also consult the rules and guidelines below the “Buy PTD” button.

Also know you will receive various error or warning messages if there are issues when you try to create your PTD, telling you why creation failed (like trying to offer tokens reward for a premium PTD, for instance). If you have questions, contact support.

Your existing offers management. Information:

  • #
The ID of your PTD offer. Necessary if you want to automate the claims management.
  • Title
The title of your PTD, for easy identification. The type of your PTD is also shown by color-coded backgrounds: pink for premium, light yellow for pro, none for regular.
  • Reward Type
Can be ‘cash’ or ‘tokens’. The type of reward you will pay. Can be only cash for premium offers and only tokens for regular offers. Pro offers can propose either types of rewards.
  • Status
Status of your PTD offers. Can be ‘unset’, ‘active’, ‘paused’, ‘expired’ or ‘SUSPENDED’. Hover over this field for additional information (especially useful if your PTD has been suspended, to see the reason why)
  • Availability / w/ Your Balance
It’s the availability of your offer, how many rewards are you prepared to give. If ‘unspecified’, your PTD will be displayed to members until you run out of cash in your purchase balance or tokens, depending on your reward type. ‘w/ Your Balance’ is the number of claims you can approve with your current balance (again, purchase balance for cash, or tokens in your account).
  • Auto-extend
‘Yes’ if you want Adrian’s Hub to attempt to auto-extend your PTD when it expires. ‘No’ or lack of funds to permit extension, means you’ll have to extend the PTD manually when it expires.
  • Purchase code
The code to use when you claim your reward for making a purchase on Adrian’s Hub. That can be used when you initially made the purchase, and after every extension.

Your existing offers management. Actions (note that not all actions will be available or in the same form; they depend on certain factors that affect your PTD):

  • Extend
Green button being displayed if your PTD is expired, witch will allow you to manually extend it.
  • Set-Up and Activate
Green button being displayed if your PTD is unset, witch will allow you to set details up, update and activate it.
  • Update and Request Suspension Lifting
Green button being displayed if your PTD is suspended, witch will allow you to update your PTD to remove the cause of suspension, and to request suspension lifting. Your PTD’s status will remain ‘suspended’ until it’s re-evaluated to see if the reason for suspension still exists.
  • Edit
This button is displayed for active, paused or expired PTDs and will allow you to update your PTD details.
  • Activate / Pause
Green button ‘Activate’ or normal button ‘Pause’ switches your PTD status from paused to active and vice versa. Only active PTDs are shown to our members.
  • Manage Claims
If this button is on a normal background, you don’t have any pending claims for your PTD. Red background means you have pending claims, and you can find out how many by hovering the button. Click it to go to the ‘Manage Claims’ page, from where you can:
    – manually approve or reject individual claims
    – see the recent claims you have handled
    – report a claimer for abuse (only after you reject a claim)
    – go to the page that allows you to turn on the automated claims management for your PTD. There is an option for site owners (API integration) and one for non-site owners (useful, for example, to list builders, to include in emails)
  • View Stats
See various stats for your PTD.
  • Delete
You can delete your PTD, but only if it’s not active (you can pause it first), and there are no pending claims for it.

The Complete List of Rewarded Actions

  • completing paid-to-do offers You can earn cash or tokens by completing the PTD offers of our advertisers
  • reading emails (we are NOT a mailer, so rewards refer to owner/admin emails)
how to claim reward for reading AdriansHub.com emails
Claim link may appear in different positions, but usually towards the end of the email. Some emails may not have the code, after all I don’t want our subscribers to rush looking for the claim code, but actually read the email.
  • viewing spotlight page ads
  • how to claim reward for watching a spotlight page
Spotlight page ads can be accessed by clicking on AdriansHub.com’s animated logo, wherever you find it (including the site’s header) or when logging in your Private Hub. When the count-down reaches zero on the spotlight page ad, you’ll see the claim link, in a top-left position. The reward for viewing a spotlight page can be claimed only once per day per subscriber. But nobody stops you from coming back if you didn’t take action the first time on the spotlight page ad and would like to see it again. More details here.

  • tweeting our blog posts and reviews
  • how to claim reward for tweeting AdriansHub.com's articles
As it’s probably obvious from the image above, you can claim your reward for tweeting a blog post or review at the bottom of the article (below the social buttons). Read here what’s needed to claim a tweet.

  • you even get rewarded for reporting a bug
  • joining free, upgrading, renewing subscription in recommended sites
  • purchasing on AdriansHub.com

Similarly, the purchase code will appear in the purchase notification email you receive for buying a x2 leverage or other purchases that qualify for the purchase reward.

You’ll need a purchase code to claim your reward for purchasing anything on Adrian’s Hub. This can be found in your purchase notification email and is marked with the red rectangles in the samples above.
You can’t find your purchase notification email? If it’s not in spam folder either, contact support and we’ll resend the email to you, or just give you the purchase code.

  • Mysterious rewards / gifts. You just have to find them. Gook luck!

You can find more details on the rewards subject here.

Affiliate Program (Affiliate Hub)

Yes, you see correctly. We are built on a blog platform and we have an affiliate program.

First of all, you should know that you can only take advantage of our affiliate program from within your Private Hub, so if you haven’t accessed it yet, now would be a good time. Check out the Private Hub(s) section again.

All the tools you need for the affiliate program are gathered under the Affiliate Hub menu in your back-end Private Hub. Details about the referral contest can be found here.

You have an entire arsenal of promotional materials at your disposal, to help you in your marketing efforts. Some of the tools also help you brand yourself and promote your social media links (Facebook, Twitter, Skype). If you own a blog, you’ll appreciate the blog button too, for a link to your own blog.

You also have the possibility to see your referrals (and your sponsor) and check if they are active or not. Since the referral contest takes into consideration active referrals first and only then the inactive ones, this information should be very important to any sponsor, especially if they participate in the referral contest.

We have three membership types at Adrian’s Hub: free, pro and premium. If you want to check out the benefits of each of them, go here.

Giftable Upgrades

Giftable upgrades can be offered to your referrals. You can win a free giftable upgrade by climbing up the VIP ladder. Soon you will also be able to buy a giftable upgrade.

Your Team’s Cash Bonus Pool

This may be unique to Adrian’s Hub as far as I know. Up to 20% of your own purchases will go to this pool. You can also transfer pending commissions money in. And use the Cash Bonus Pool money to reward your active referrals (your team). The criteria used to determine who gets how much in your team is entirely up to you. Just make sure your team knows what they need to do to earn this bonus.

Choose/Change Sponsor

What about my referrals and the people joining without a sponsor? Well, I have no intention of keeping to myself any of the referrals brought in to my site. So, I created the possibility for my direct referrals to choose a different sponsor (using the Change Sponsor option in the Affiliate Hub), and for members willing to increase their referral team, by bidding on my referrals (from Bid For Adrian’s Refs menu in the Affiliate Hub).

If you are in my downline, it costs 100 tokens to see a list of potential sponsors you can choose from. You’ll also see if they are active and how many referrals they already have. You can select anyone you want from the list as your new (and final!) sponsor.

Bid For Adrian’s Refs

If you want a new source of referrals, without actually bringing in new people yourself, you can pay for them instead with tokens, Bid For Adrian’s Refs is the way. As the name says, you will bid against anyone interested for each referral you want. These referrals are counted for the referral contest (make sure you have selected ‘count for referral contest only’!), because you do pay for them, even if they come from my downline.

Each auction lasts a minimum of 3 days, the deadline being extended by 24h if there’s a new bid in the last 12h of the auction. So, we avoid last minute bids that leave the opponents without the possibility to increase their bid.

The referrals on auction have their share of free publicity and branding too, social media and blog buttons are displayed, as well as the name-associated promo and ‘your picks’.

IMS (Internal Messaging System)

IMS is a feature-rich messaging tool that makes Affiliate Hub even more powerful.
Its main purpose is to facilitate the communications between a sponsor and his team (downline).

Here are IMS’ benefits for you as an affiliate (be aware some of these benefits are only for upgraded members):

• affiliates can contact their referrals individually or using broadcasts
• IMS allows segmentation (sending different messages to sub-groups of your team, based on their activity). You can broadcast to all your downline, new members in your downline, actives, inactives, free members or buyers, ability which is usually reserved to owners or with some work by using autoresponders.
• a message can be forwarded to your team
• the entire conversation is displayed when viewing a message, or when you reply to or forward a message
• you can filter messages by a specific sender or receiver
• a message or template can be saved
• you can use keywords in your subject line and message body
• by default, when you receive a message, an email notification is sent to you (you can disable it from your profile if you’d prefer to read all messages at once when you login to your Private Hub)
• you will be notified of new messages (and unread messages) on your Dashboard
• a sender will know when you delete a message (no need to delete messages though, older messages will be periodically removed by the system; saved messages will be deleted only if they occupy a lot of space, oldest first)
• if a sponsor is too insistent or keeps pitching, you as his referral have the option to block his broadcasts (and only broadcasts, not direct messages!) for the rest of the week.

For more information please read the blog post announcing the addition of IMS and the thoughts that drove me while planning and developing it:

How to Advertise on AdriansHub.com?

You have four options to choose from for your advertising purposes on our site: banner ads, spotlight page ads, blog reviews and your picks. Let’s take them one by one.

Banner Ads

Banner ads have been available to advertise at AdriansHub.com since almost the beginning. They are run through a third-party platform. We presently have 11 banner ad zones and offer 468×60, 125×125, 250×250, 728×90 and 300×250 standard sizes. The charging model is usually by duration, but there are two exceptions where we charge for clicks (for banners at the bottom of the confirmation and thank you pages).

Spotlight Page Ads

Our spotlight page ads are incentivized and advertised
– when someone logs into his Private Hub for the first time for the day
– on major advertising platforms, linked to banner ad campaigns.
– linked to our logo, on our ads or emails (only one bonus per day per subscriber can be claimed)

There’s a reward associated with viewing a spotlight page ad (claimable once a day) and an additional bonus unlockable when someone has 10 valid claims for spotlight page ads during the last 30 days period (no pressure for consecutive days claiming unless you want to). The extra bonus is reset after it’s unlocked, so daily claimers can reach it every 10 days.

The spotlight page itself has a minimally sized top bar (no banners or additional distractions) and a 15 seconds timer.
You will also know how many skipped your ad.

This is not a unique page for a day/week. There are multiple pages, but way less than in a traffic exchange’s rotation (I’d say several would be a good “approximation” and it’s a goal to keep this a small number so all the ads will really be in the spotlight).
You are able to assign a higher priority to your ad (you’ll pay an additional fee for that). That will make your spotlight page ad more prominent, and the hits will be delivered faster than for a normal priority site (at least 3x faster, but there’s a formula to increase that ratio, if the number of spotlight page ads raises).

Paypal and tokens are directly available to pay for your purchase, after your ad is approved.
You will receive an email with your access link to ad stats and management once your payment is processed. You can also buy more hits from there or pause your ad if you wish.

Blog Reviews

Sometimes marketers forget about blogging as an effective way to drive traffic to a business. Blogging can be a hassle if you don’t have time, because you need to keep it interesting or active enough to have regular readers.

So what does a blog review bring to the marketing table? Well, that’s relatively straight-forward really. You get long term exposure for a fraction of the cost of other types of advertising and the possibility to target people searching for reviews for a specific site/business.

Although I’ve wrote blog reviews for AdriansHub.com subscribers and will do it again as a special reward for contest winners, there’s room to make it more interesting (just didn’t make it to the top of my priorities list yet). For now, if you’re interested in a blog review, just contact support and we’ll see if that can be arranged.

Your Picks

You can also promote up to 3 sites of your choice through the “Your Picks” add-on. Your picks can be set from your preferences in your Private Hub.

You will need a 125×125 banner, a target link and a title for each of the picked programs.

The banners will be displayed when someone hovers over your picture anywhere on the site. So, the more active and visible you are on Adrian’s Hub, the better for your exposure.

Additionally, but attached to your name instead, you can promote one site. Your affiliate link for Adrian’s Hub can be a good choice for this website.

Instead of Conclusion
